How the date is counted
The calculator adds the period to the start date on the calendar. A month ends on the same day number in the following month, or on the last day of that month when it is shorter: 31 January plus one month is 28 February, or 29 February in a leap year.
Caution: Confirm how the authority counts
Authorities differ: some count from the issue date, some from the apostille, and some include or exclude the last day. The receiving authority decides what it accepts, so check its rule and leave time for delivery.
