Rwanda joins the Apostille Convention: what changes
Detail
What changed
Rwanda acceded to the Convention on 6 October 2023.1
Since 5 June 2024, a public document from Rwanda only needs an apostille to be used in another member country, and documents from other member countries only need an apostille to be used in Rwanda.1
Other member countries could object to the accession. Between Rwanda and a country that objected, the Convention does not apply, so check the specific pair of countries.1
