Apostille register (e-Register)

More about this term

Article 7 of the Convention requires every competent authority to keep a register of the apostilles it issues, with the number, the date and the name and capacity of the person who signed the document. Under the electronic Apostille Programme many countries put this register online, so the receiving office can check an apostille by its number and date.
